Daily Poem: April 3

Crawling into the room

Crawling into the room

I crawl into the room
in the newly remodeled
house

and put a hole in the wall
so I can move
some furniture.

The girl I kiss is younger than I am,
and I don’t know her.

The renovations
stirred up ghosts.

The year is ending.

I’m covered in dust from the plaster,
drifting around

like an animal in a
video game.
